About The Event ~
In April 2007, Mario Salgado was diagnosed with renal 5 kidney failure and put on twelve hours of dialysis per week to sustain his life. Five years later and Mario just received on March 10, 2012, a kidney transplant at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, WA. Mario is 37 years old, married, and father of 16 yr. old Marques, 9 yr. old Mackenzie & 10 month old Manny. Until his recent transplant little over a month ago he worked as a full time time breakfast cook at Wenatchee Rooftop. Mario presently has $6,000.00 in his transplant fund at HelpHOPELive. He needs to have a minimum of $10,000.00 in this account to cover all of his after care expenses such as medications, doctor's visits, travel from Wenatchee to Seattle & etc.
In order to help the Salgado family meet Mario's medical expenses, we are having a fundraiser on July 4th. of this year.
Wenatchee's Annual Firework Show on River at Walla Walla Point Park will be providing a great show from our property. We will be providing Live Flameworking Demos, Bands from all over the Pacific Northwest will provided the entertainment, while you enjoy the craft & food booths & Fireworks by River.
Sound will be provided By Snatchee Records.
Freedom RV Rentals will be providing a RV for Salgado Family & Friends. There kind donation will give Mario a safe place to relax and still enjoy the show Hosted in his Honor.
Aaron's & Quality Rentals will be providing our VIP Accommodations.
This fundraiser will include a Raffle
with a lot of great prizes provided by local business' such as Prospector Pies & Sarge's Smokeshack BBQ, In the Dog House Grooming, Tranquility Day Spa, Top Hat Limo, Applebee's, Icicle Brewery, Obertal Inn in Leavenworth, WA
to name a few...
All monies collected for Raffle tickets or donations will go through HelpHOPELive which is our sponsoring 501 non-profit.
For the Art Glass Contest ~ donate a finished art Glass Item, & Your Art will be judged by Justin Wilson of Piece Of Mind & Peoples Choice. We have Sponsors such as, UST Glass, CBS Dichro, Northstar Glassworks, T.A.G, Trev's Glass, Piece Of Mind & many more to offer awesome prizes to the winners.
